Africa Renaissance Television (ARTS) Honors Mr. Argaw Ayele, Executive Director of Global Peace Bank and Ebenezer Supporting and Development Association

Africa Renaissance Television (ARTS) has presented an award of recognition to Mr. Argaw Ayele, Executive Director of the Global Peace Bank and the Ebenezer Supporting and Development Association. The honor was bestowed in appreciation of his extensive humanitarian contributions to the community, his dedicated care for children, and his outstanding efforts in peace-building. In particular, Mr. Argaw’s establishment and leadership of the Global Peace Bank, an innovative idea bank dedicated to promote lasting peace in the country, was highlighted as a key achievement that earned him this recognition. 

Mr. Argaw Ayele noted that, despite providing comprehensive support to more than 150 vulnerable, abandoned, and needy children over the past 20 years, the absence of sustainable solutions has led to a continuous rise in the number of children ending up on the streets.  He therefore emphasized that he has turned his focus toward peace-building initiatives, aiming to address the root causes of the problem, namely conflict, hostility, and unrest. 

He further explained that, to ensure the effectiveness of this work, he is collaborating closely with media outlets and institutions of higher learning. Among these partnerships, he recalled the recent signing of a tripartite memorandum of understanding with Africa Renaissance Television (ARTS) and Hawassa University. 

Mr. Daniel Belayneh, Chief Executive Officer of Africa Renaissance Television (ARTS), who presented the award, praised the exemplary community service delivered by the sister organizations led by Mr. Argaw ,  particularly commending the ongoing peace-building efforts of the Global Peace Bank.
