Global Peace Bank is a local civil society organization working on peace building and conflict resolution. Our association has been operating on peace building issues, mainly through media for over one year before it got constituted as a local non-governmental organization in accordance with Civil Society Organization Proclamation. Our organization was registered with and accorded legal personality by FDRE Authority for Civil Society Organization with Registry Number 7034 on November 23, 2023.

The objectives of our organization are the following:

• Disseminate “Neighbor First” principle of peace building, mobilize the public around the principle.
• Popularize the strategy of reconciliation centered conflict resolution; apply the strategy on conflict resolution cases.
• Organize and coordinate all inclusive community conversation forums for peace.
• Organize policy dialogue forums based on research results on peace and conflict issues and use the output of these forums as on input for policy proposals for peace building and conflict resolution.
• Utilize the research on the traditional mechanisms of peace building and conflict resolution of Ethiopian communities as input to policy dialogue forums.
• Popularize and disseminate GPB’s peace building and conflict resolution principles through diverse media platforms.
• Work in partnership with the government on peace building and conflict resolution issues.
