The Research, Knowledge Management, and Partnership Department of the Global Peace Bank plays a critical role in advancing the organization's peace-building and conflict resolution efforts. By networking with researchers and educators in these fields, the department ensures that the latest insights and methodologies are integrated into the Policy Dialogue forums of the Global Peace Bank. It also establishes close relationships with government institutions responsible for making and executing peace policies in Ethiopia, fostering collaboration and alignment with national strategies. Additionally, the department partners with academic institutions engaged in peace research and education, working together to achieve common objectives and enhance the impact of their efforts.
International collaboration is another cornerstone of the department's work. It builds strong relationships with international governmental and non-governmental organizations involved in peace-building and conflict resolution. These partnerships allow the Global Peace Bank to leverage global expertise and resources, enriching its programs and extending its reach. The department identifies comparative research and policies from other countries, disseminating this valuable information to the staff and stakeholders of the Global Peace Bank. By doing so, it ensures that the organization remains informed of global best practices and innovative approaches in peace-building.
To support the internal operations of the Global Peace Bank, the Research, Knowledge Management, and Partnership Department prepares strategic and operational plans, ensuring coordination between departments. It assists directors and officers in designing and implementing performance monitoring and evaluation tools, thereby enhancing the effectiveness and accountability of their activities. The department also formulates, organizes, and monitors interconnected projects, prepares documents for partnerships with third parties, and gathers and updates information on conflict and peace issues in Ethiopia. Furthermore, it manages logistics, human resources, and budget requirements for the Global Peace Bank's activities and works with partners on planning, monitoring, and evaluating joint projects. By developing and controlling deadlines, budgets, and activities, the department ensures the smooth execution of programs and prepares comprehensive reports on program performance
